I really want to see a working server, but I don't think I can donate any money if there is no guarantee it will work. I would be happy to host a server, though.

I just downloaded it and would like to see a live version also. how expensive is a game server? can you beta test it through your current isp? maybe integrate it with a web server's database and a website login?

Any computer can be used as a server, so I could do that temporarily. But if the game gets big and a lot of people play it, you would have to buy a $1000+ machine to do it.

Donations are very important for this project. Good server for many players is very expensive.

I noticed in the client that there were options for Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure, meaning that the server could be run on a psp for "local" multiplayer play.
I never played tibia, so I don't know how the server structure works, but I do know games like Ultima Online were able to connect to different "shards" or servers, there for lowering the cost of servers and bandwidth because not everyone played on the same server.
I played the tibiaPSP v0.3 release last night, and am very excited to see where this project goes.
